Week of September 13th -19th + Mars in Aquarius Pre-Full Moon in Aries Ritual
For ATL Craft
So first of all, I want to thank everyone who reached out to me to share their stories about their similar shifting of letting go of things that didn’t serve them anymore, even if—on the outside—everything seemed fine. It’s so important 1. to be able to tune into your alignment with yourself and everything around you and 2. to embrace the power of community and conversation. True change and healing and revolution can only happen if we are open to one another, hold space for one another, and have empathy for one another, and there were so many of you who had or were currently going through the energy of “pruning roses.” The medicine of sharing stories, things like the #metoo movement, and the culture of memes and “going viral” are a reflection of our Age of Aquarius we are finding our way into. The utilization of technology to cultivate change is so cool, y’all. We’re doing great things.
This week is all about prepping for the Full Moon in Aries on the 25th. Can you see where you were six months ago at the Aries New Moon? Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, so that New Moon was a powerhouse for intention-setting. After all the retrogrades and eclipses, what has blossomed? What has fallen away? Now you get the chance to reap what you have sown, but these next few days will allow the energy of a last minute boost of energy and focus. Mercury in Virgo opposes Neptune in Pisces today. On the 15th and 16th, Mercury will trine Pluto in Capricorn, and form a sextile with Jupiter in Scorpio. Finally, on the 19th, Mars in Aquarius will square Uranus in Taurus.
For Mercury’s transits, expect serious conversations about the future (think death, taxes, retirement, the hard, scary stuff that no one wants to worry about but must be handled before you can sign a contract, lease, or accept any up in responsibility or reward); but with Jupiter in Scorpio, these conversations will be able to go deep without ruining everything. Just keep it fair, unemotional as possible, and expect to be able to expand and receive lots of emotional relief once the hard convos are over and done with.
With Mars in Aquarius (again) squaring Uranus in Taurus, we have a lot of stubborn energy right before the Full Moon. Uranus rules Aquarius, and Mars is seen as the yang energy to Taurus’ ruler Venus. Very weird energy. Both Taurus and Aquarius are fixed signs, so their energy is very stable and forceful. Uranus is an outer planet, so it has a more subtle reflection for our Earthly energies, whereas Mars is a personal planet, and we feel it when its doing stuff. The energy is like wanting to change something, being really fucking fed up with humanity or society, and kinda wanting to just burn the whole thing down, but knowing on a deep level that you’ve got to hold steady, and push forward to cultivate any of that revolution you want to happen. On a smaller scale, you might feel like rules at your job are really grating on your last freaking nerve. Dress codes or hiding your tattoos and piercings or not being allowed to dye your hair may have you feeling more rage-y than usual. The annoyance with how your appearance determines your worth to other people in the world will probably piss you the fuck off. Gender roles when it comes to your physical appearance may feel more restricting than usual. You may feel a little trapped and crazy, and like you want to rock the boat a little.
I’m not saying to run out and get a face tattoo and flip off your HR department, okay? But I am asking you to rage-journal all the shit in your life that feels like an arbitrary rule, superficial judgement, old school, part of the patriarchal paradigm, or just pisses you off because its irrelevant and smothering you. With fiery Aries completing a cycle on the 25th, all your rage can be released and cultivated into something more useful. Anger shows us where a boundary lies, and where it has been crossed, remember. Uranus is all about being boundless—Uranus was the god of the sky. Saturn, Uranus’ son, castrated Uranus, and Saturn with his rings rules boundaries and rules. Their DNA makes them family, but their personalities oppose and challenge one another—and both of these planetary energies rule Aquarius. With Mars in Aquarius, we have the energy and focus to push boundaries. Set new ones. And with the rage-filed drive for change via Mars, we can expand and contract our idea of values and our place in the material world (Taurus).
So, on the Full Moon, take all the things that you’ve been bitching about since the 19th, and create a releasing ritual. Aries, ruled by Mars, will fuel the fire for your newly created rules. The cycle of Aries is complete. Use the energy given to you by the Universe. Tune in. She’s ready to create a world with you.
Write at you all next week!
